Unknown Caller : Book One - (The Orphan Trilogy - PI Polly Stevens 1)

Where Secrets Are Worth More Than Lives

About

What if a woman who uncovers the truth couldn’t trust her own mind?

PI Polly Stevens specialises in finding missing people. She lives alone in her dead parent’s bungalow with her cat, her Chopin Nocturnes, and a house she keeps as precise as her case files.

Until one afternoon she comes home with her coat buttoned wrong, eight hours missing, fresh smoke in the garden barrel, and her surveillance clothes gone.

The woman who finds other people’s truths is now forced to investigate her own.

After a stranger comes knocking and orphanage memories begin to line up, Polly discovers something far darker than any of her cases.

As she races to uncover the truth, she’s drawn into a sinister covert institutional conspiracy, that certain people will kill to protect, and the possibility that she may not be just a victim.

A grippingly intimate psychological thriller about an ordinary woman fighting to reclaim the life stolen from her, the music that anchors her, and the last fragile pieces of her sanity.

Bestselling Amazon Author returns with a blistering psychological conspiracy thriller about secrets, identity and the shadows that haunt us, perfect for fans who love unexpected twists and turns.

If you’ve ever loved a character who is meticulous, and broken in equal measure, who is both the private investigator and the crime scene, who fights for her own mind with the same relentless precision she brings to every case, then Polly Stevens was written for you.

She’ll stay with you long after the last page!

Five Star Reviews.

*WOW ! What have I just read. The synopsis doesn't begin to cover what is happening in this story and it is certainly not one that I have read the likes of before. It has a great pace throughout, with lots of twists to keep you wondering what will happen next to the main characters and then the author leaves you in great anticipation of the next book in thus trilogy. Scary at times but well worth a read.

*Quite an unsettling but unputdownable read. This book is about a subject I know very little about, the only subject matter I can compare it to is The Stepford Wives. Could the content happen in real life? Maybe it could. The characters in this book had no idea what was happening to them, until they found each other and compared notes. They then go on to unearth worrying similarities from their early childhood., resulting in events they are unaware of in adulthood. All I can say is that this book held my attention and I look forward to going on to read the second book in this trilogy.
